Symptoms of STASIS DERMATITIS
Discoloration of the skin occurs, where it is red or dusky. Itching tends to occur in the same areas. The symptoms often appear over a enlarged vein. Typically, this occurs just above the prominence of the inner ankle. With chronic changes, ulceration of the skin may occur with secondary signs of infection, increased redness, increased temperature and purulent drainage.
