Overview of Uterine Bleeding, Dysfunctional 
Dysfunction uterine bleeding is bleeding that is not related to a woman’s normal menstrual cycle. It is not associated with tumor, inflammation, or pregnancy, and occurs in women over 45 or in adolescents.
Causes of Uterine Bleeding, Dysfunctional
Dysfunctional uterine bleeding is usually due to an overgrowth of the endometrium, the lining of the uterus, resulting from estrogen stimulation. With dysfunctional uterine bleeding, ovulation occurs periodically.
Signs and Symptoms of Uterine Bleeding, Dysfunctional
Symptoms include: bleeding between menstrual cycles, blood flow may be irregular, prolonged and sometimes profuse, and may contain clots.
