Cause is due to viral infections, including: influenza, chickenpox and respiratory syncytial virus (RSV) (especially in adults), respiratory viruses, measles and cytomegalovirus (especially in infants).

Signs and Symptoms of Pneumonia, Viral

signs and symptoms

Symptoms include: fever, chills, muscle aches, fatigue, cough, with or without sputum or croup, rapid, labored (sometimes) breathing, chest pain, sore throat, loss of appetite, enlarged lymph glands in the neck, and bluish nails and skin.
