Pancreatic cancer is the 4th leading cause of cancer deaths in the U.S. It is more common in men, particularly those between 60 and 70. The overall survival rate for pancreatic cancer is very poor. This is often because there are metastases, or spread of the tumor, when the pancreatic cancer is diagnosed.
