Causes of Testosterone Level And Libido
Low testosterone may be caused by conditions associated with the testes, pituitary gland or hypothalamus gland, or by a genetic disorder. A decline in testosterone levels also may be age-related. In women, it may also be associated with decreased or absent function of cells within the ovaries.
Signs and Symptoms of Testosterone Level And Libido
Men with low testosterone may experience decreased libido, impotence, decreased muscle mass, fatigue and decreased bone density in conjunction with osteoporosis. Studies have shown that men often respond well to testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) to treat these symptoms.
