Medial epicondylitis is an over use syndrome of the elbow. It produces pain along the inner side of the elbow. It is most common after 35 years of age. It is most frequently occurs with work related repetitive trauma. However, it may also occur with recreational activities.

Causes of Epicondylitis Of The Elbow

Repetitive motion that leads to micro-tears of the flexors of the wrist and pronators muscles of the forearm.

Signs and Symptoms of Epicondylitis Of The Elbow

signs and symptoms

Medial epicondylitis produces pain and tenderness over the inner part of the elbow, just below the elbow. Flexion and rotation of the elbow inwards usually increases the pain. The pain often radiates into the forearm.
